I have found myself dreaming of this magical day a lot the last few weeks, especially with the restriction of non-essential travel and the lack of social connection happening. Last year on April 30th things looked a lot different and it is forever marked a day of learning and celebration in my mind.
Out in the forest, near Eagle Pass Lodge outside of Revelstoke, BC you would find a group of wedding professionals working together to set up what we thought was a styled shoot curated by an incredible team of professionals for The Open Trunk Workshop. Stunning floral elements, vintage furniture pieces, and moss coverings made for the most magical ambiance for this styled elopement.
But. . . SURPRISE!
This was not a styled shoot . . . But a REAL elopement! After Lindsay + Sean experienced their First Look together on top of a glacier (yep, Epic right!?) they joined us in the forest to say "I Do". Talk about an incredibly humbling moment.
First, I would like to say thank you to Lindsay and Sean for sharing that super intimate and incredibly special moment with us and for all of the time you allowed us to have with you post-"I Do's" that weekend. I am wishing you the happiest of Anniversaries!
A second thank you to the team that made it all possible. . . WOW, just wow. Humbled, grateful, and completely in awe of each of you. Talk about the most incredible surprise.
Check out some of the photos from this incredible day! Thank you to Alexandra Kurta Photography for sharing them with me.
I highly recommend checking out their First Look to find some other amazing images from this special day!
Lastly, to the couples out there who may be reading this. If you choose to elope during this time, know that it doesn't have to be boring. You do not have to rush through the moment and stand against a blank, dull wall. Let's bring magic to your elopement! Let's make it customized and authentic to you and your love! Forest or Livingroom or Backyard or City Street, let's do this and make it exciting and unforgettable!
With that being said, Wild Smile Events has teamed up with some stellar Kootenay Wedding Professionals to bring you four stressfree but totally inspiring Elopement Packages to remind you that the adventure of getting married is still happening!
